Types of Commercial Roof Installation

  • Mechanically Fastened – Mechanically fastened means the Insulation, cover board, and roof membrane are attached with Screws and Plates, screwed into the building deck or structural members.

  • FA Fully Adhered – FA simple means some or all of the roof is adhered using particular types of Membrane glue.Fully adhered can result in a couple installations depending on the design specifications and needs for the building.

  • Ballasted – Ballasted roofs mean that the membrane is weighed down by rocks (or other). This eliminates the need for screws or adhesive. This spec is only seen on roofs that were specifically designed to carry the weight of the ballast.

Commercial Roofing Materials

TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)

  • Thermoplastic Polyolefin, or TPO is the fastest growing segment of the commercial roofing industry. Propelling the growth of TPO is the substantial increase in use in the southern climates , where the energy efficient material, cool roof products are taking over the industry. TPO is our main re-roof material. TPO helps us provide building owners with superior protection along with a lower cooling bill!
  • Mechanically Fastened and Fully-Adhered TPO roofing systems
  • Heat-weldable membrane
  • 20 Year Manufacturer NDL Warranties
  • Color options include: White, Gray, Tan
  • Hail resistant
  • Meets ENERGY STAR guidelines
  • Low/Steep Slope Applications

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)

  • PVC is a single-ply membrane, like TPO is one of the faster growing roofing membranes in the industry. PVC offers excellent resistance to rooftop chemicals, including acids, oils and greases. We recommend PVC installations over restaurants, and facilities with chemical requirements.
  • Mechanically Fastened and Fully adhered capable PVC Roofing Systems
  • Heat-weldable membrane
  • UL/FM codes and approvals
  • Excellent chemical resistance ideal for restaurant and airport applications
  • Low / Steep Slope Applications

EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene-Monomer)

  • EPDM is a single ply rubberish membrane that has a long track record of tested performance starting with excellent weathering characteristics and low maintenance. EPDM was the first Single-ply membrane to be tested in the US market. This membrane is predominately used in northern climates. The traditional black color attracts sunlight to help reduce heating cost in cooler climates. We will service EPDM. Upon re-roof we will retro-fit TPO for installations in the South East for the energy benefits.
  • Fully-Adhered, Mechanically attached, Ballasted EPDM systems
  • Ballasted roofing systems
  • Full Manufacturer Warranty

Modified Bitumen

  •  Multiple plies
  • Resistant to foot traffic
  • Mineral, smooth or flood and gravel are available for surfacing
  • Full manufacturer warranty

Coatings

  • Roof Coatings are becoming more and more prevalent and popular in prolonging the life of both Metal and traditional roofing systems. Roof coatings can be applied by either rolling or spraying methods and essentially add another layer or ‘top coat’ to an existing roof system. Coatings will achieve the same goals that a ‘retrofit’ may reach. The coating is a more popular option because of the cost-effectiveness. Instead of adding another layer to the roof as a retrofit would the coatings create a chemical bond to the current roofing substrate.
  • Full manufacturer warranty
  • Great option for giving a roof more to get to Re-roof installation
  • Energy benefits
  • Polymer-modified roof membranes are composed of reinforcing fabrics that serve as carriers for the hot polymer-modified bitumen as it is manufactured into a roll material. Modified bitumen roof system membranes are composed of multiple layers, like built-up roofs.Fully adhered with hot bitumen, cold adhesive or torch
